Stocking and Managing Products
Twenty thousand square meters, twenty kilometers north west of Milan
Garzanti Specialties stocks and manages its products from its own warehouse located in Caronno Pertusella, about 20km north west of Milan.
This allows us to check and verify all products that will be sold to our customers and guarantee them a timely and adequate service.
Having our own warehouse also means having the flexibility to optimise the locations of the storage areas. As a result in 2018 we constructed a new 800 square metre area entirely dedicated to Animal feed products.
Twenty Thousand Square Meters
The Caronno Pertusella plant covers 20,000 square meters, of which 8,400 are covered, and was built with the utmost consideration towards both safety and the environment.
All products are stored in covered areas. The areas are compartmentalized and the products stored in line with safety and fire prevention criteria. As an example all liquid products are stored on grates which means in the event of leaks, any spillages are contained in isolated basins. Products in bulk are stored in six tanks, all connected to a leak detection system.
All areas of the plant have active and passive fire prevention systems and since the start of operations have always obtained all Fire Prevention Certificates. The areas where Food and Feed products are stored have been approved by the local Health Protection Agency.
Furthermore, Garzanti has a certified area where repackaging, mixing and sampling of food products can be carried out.
